1. CRIME PREVENTION

a). PHAMA Foundation introduced Community Policing in Ongata Rongai in 2003. It assisted in forming Community Policing forums and later trained them in the concept. The project is also supported by Ann Harper from Canada who has been very helpful in providing lessons online and sending English text books. This project is creating very big impact a the community.

3. CHILD PROTECTION

Kenyan children have for a very long time been going through one of the most brutal and traumatizing experiences this country has ever had. Children, both girls and boys as young as two years old, are being defiled by grown ups. Our authoritative needs assessment revealed that this is mostly carried out by people who are infected with HIV/AIDS who seek treatment from certain unscrupulous "witch doctors". The so called medicine men have been capitalizing on the fact that HIV/AIDS has no cure and thus cheating the infected that by defiling an under age one would be cured. This has led to even fathers defiling their own children. Many children are, in the process, infected with HIV/AIDS. Some are even killed in the heinous act by the perpetrators.

a. Child Defilement (Future Project)

The organization has in collaboration with the community designed a project to address this problem. It will be implemented when funds are available. The project involves building the capacity of the community and Community Based Organizations in Psychosocial Support for children, Parenting skills, Universal Conversion on Human Rights (with emphasis on Child Rights), Paralegal and Community Policing.

b. Psychosocial Support for Orphans and vulnerable Children

The executive Director volunteered for a South Sudan NGO in 2007 in implementing a PSS project and assisted in forming a number of Kids Clubs in Eastern Upper Nile in South Sudan .

c. Early Childhood Development Project

PHAMA Foundation is to implement an ECD Care and Transition project in Funyula District where it will partner with Masena University in Kisumu and Moi University in Eldoret and utilize their students volunteer. The Project will provide student volunteers with basic nutritional information for mothers and information on adult teaching methods. They will then, in their volunteer train mothers in rural Kenya with relevant information regarding health and nutrition and assist them in learning how to effectively apply health and nutrition information in helping their young children to be healthier. The students will teach mothers on how to evaluate changes in the health of their young children. This is also meant to encourage young people develop attitude of volunteering for there communities.

4. PEACE AND SECURITY

A culture of peace cannot be imposed from the outside; it is cultivated in the hearts of peace- loving people and ripples out like a pebble tossed into a lake" Foundation of a culture of peace is laid on;

•  Mature character,

•  Loving relationships and family

•  Contribution to the society.

Therefore Peace is rooted in mature character and deep heart. Culture of peace is shaped by the character of its people. People's thoughts, feelings & actions promote peace. Mature character is morally guided and; Gives strength to make tough choices, is necessary to attain goodness and peace.

The origin of peace is family, and family is the school of love. Root of family peace is loving husband and wife. They breed loving and peaceful children. Peaceful families are a basis for empathy with all people and bring harmonious interaction which support peaceful nations.

In respect to its objective of saving life, Pan African Hazards and Mine Action Foundation ( PHAMAF) carries out peace projects peculiar to particular circumstances.
